Sighty's theory makes the most sense, now that I think about it, since I guess it's possible to think Invasor ducked Bernardini in a race that was possible for both to be in.

Here is one turf horse who should have ducked Bernardini...




Danehill's usually suck hard on the dirt compared to turf. Frankel was Galileo on top and Danehill on the bottom ... it's hard to imagine a pedigree any more slanted to turf VS dirt.
