The one thing Harden will get from the deal is an extra year that the Thunder couldn't give him, in addition to about 1 mil per season. Harden is not a max guy, and Houston will regret this signing.
Lin will be out of the NBA before this contract runs out.

I don't know if he'll be out of the NBA because Houston will probably amnesty him by the last year of it and some team will take him cheap. I agree with where you're coming from though.

I say the worst thread in this poll is the hooves one, but only because any thread started by roller doc cannot be counted, because he's an automatic out.

Thumbs down

I'm with the face of NY and CJ. I think Harden is a borderline great player, but he's leaving a great team/situation. Now his numbers might be better but he won't be winning anytime soon. I can see him going for 24 6 and 5 and his team going 25-57

The more I think about the Harden move, the more disappointed I am in OKC. Harden's a unique talent who can defend, play either guard spot with intelligence, get inside or shoot from range, take care of the ball, pass, push it or slow it down. He does so much so well, I'd say it takes two or three guys to replace him.... OKC still has lots of horse power, but they just went from nitro to regular fuel. As for OKC getting first round picks, they're like lottery tickets...Harden is a blue chip stock

I couldn't get much past "Harden can defend". Well, no, not really. He can't.

The rest isn't too far off, but lets see what he can do facing #1 defenders without Durant and Westbrook around. I'm not so sure Martin, and eventually Lamb, can't do just as much as Harden did in that situation. Harden is basically Manu, and that guy never approached being paid as a MAX player. Same goes for a Jamaal Crawford or Jason Terry.

You realize the Thunder don't have much more committed to the new "Big 3" (Ibaka) than Houson has to Lin, Harden, and Asik. That doesn't sound very promising to me.

I'm not in the camp that it was a great trade for the Rockets and OKC certainly did fine. However, everyone thinking that Kevin Martin has anything left in the tank has not watched him much the last few years. He's done.

This is the worst thread in recent memory.

A thread that is about Oklahoma City's basketball team in the padlock has more posts than my hurricane thread about handle for the BC.

The NBA is a horrible product. I'd rather read about ducks farting than this nonsense.

Obviously some weak ass basketball team that is probably going to make LeBron James legitimate is a big deal. They're awful. Oklahoma City is horrendous. The Buffalo Bills of the awful NBA.
