Obama holds slight edge in Virginia, poll shows... my swing state..

Richmond, Va. --

President Barack Obama has regained a slight edge in Virginia over Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, according to a new poll of three swing states by Quinnipiac University, The New York Times and CBS News.

The president was supported by 49 percent of respondents to Romney's 45 percent in the poll of 1,412 likely voters taken July 31-Aug. 6. A July Quinnipiac survey showed the presidential contest was even in Virginia, with Romney and Obama tied at 44 percent.
