The righties seriously just have trouble being funny. Whenever Twitter explodes with one of those, "Obama bumper sticker" vs. "Romney bumper sticker" things, the righties are just terrible at humor. The lefties can be pretty hilariously funny. Righties do excel at anger and victimization, however.

Obama holds slight edge in Virginia, poll shows... my swing state..

Quote:

Richmond, Va. --

President Barack Obama has regained a slight edge in Virginia over Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, according to a new poll of three swing states by Quinnipiac University, The New York Times and CBS News.

The president was supported by 49 percent of respondents to Romney's 45 percent in the poll of 1,412 likely voters taken July 31-Aug. 6. A July Quinnipiac survey showed the presidential contest was even in Virginia, with Romney and Obama tied at 44 percent.

Right now, Obama is so far ahead in the electoral college (290 votes at a worse case scenario, takes 270 to win), it would take a miracle for Romney to win in enough swing states to change that dynamic. You never know, but doesn't look good.

That's why the screaming rightie wingnuts are starting last night and today to come out demanding Paul Ryan as VP pick. Three outlets, including WSJ, had op-eds demanding Paul Ryan over Portman today. Purpose would be to energize the base.

But Obama campaign will destroy Ryan, because his budget is so terrible regarding tax increases for all but the wealthy, profitizing and ending current Medicare, and adding trillions to the debt.

Portman doesn't have any downside, other than he was Bush Budget Director (will be prove Romney to be "Bush 3" in the campaign ads) The convention is gonna be wonderful! Especially as they are allowing all the crazies: Palin, Trump, Cain - to speak, to try and "energize" every vote they can manage.

President Obama has Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia
