your questions are silly. obviously the underage kids are just that. and it's got nothing whatsoever to do with greed. things change. just as the common man is no longer welcome to pop in to the white house for a visit at any time, the role of women in the household has changed dramatically. it's assumed that when a guy gets elected, his wife will become first lady-but time is money. several recent first ladies have had careers of their own, which they put on hold. and yes, i know, it's their choice-but it isn't really. they have to give up any chance of having their own career for the next four to eight years, while they take on quite a lot of work, unpaid. i'm not saying they should garner a 7 figure salary-but i do see a point in bringing up compensation.

Obama never "jumped the shark"
Obama never said the First Lady deserved a salary. Obama merely joked that right now his wife wasn't earning any money. He didn't say she should be. He talked about when she was working. This thread is why the screaming monkeys of the far right wing websites: Freepers, Erickson, etc - are such a pathetic joke in the world of politics. They literally have no grounding in reality. They are off in crazy lunatic land, where conspiracy theories live, feeding off Faux and Rush telling them what to think, never questioning anything for themselves.
