Here's a mythical race I posted once of some of the better performers at the peak of their form.

Would be a cool field for Gallop Racer -- or some video game like that. Swain and quite a few others did not get included in the field.

Lava Man would easily fit with that group on his Southern California form.

However, on his non So. Cal form, he'd barely fit with the 2nd at Presque Isle tonight.

How about Dayjur for Horse of the World - Sprint Division? He has the Euro grass credentials, and he probably would have won the Sprint had he not started jumping a shadow near the wire.

I suppose Arazi would have a case for Juvenile division.

He put Bertrando and Pine Bluff away pretty easy.

I was probably in the midst of a heavy caffeine and whiskey buzz when I posted that a few years ago. I don't remember.

Borel is in post #26 with RA...he'd probably pull a Denis of Cork move.

It would be a fun race to watch on a video game.

2 Names from the 80's come to mind, Alysheba and Java Gold. I think both could have been top turf horses.

Excuse me if I'm flaunting my ignorance but what about Ribot? Phar Lap?

Oh and I'm asking as in asking, not making an implication. I honestly want to know where they'd rate.

Can't say she hasn't faced tough competition. Would like to see them bring her to the Breeders Cup but it looks like they will settle for Hong Kong instead.
If anyone else had said that I'd wanna scold them for using that word cause really... it means accepting in spite of dissatisfaction, right?

If I were them I'd rather go to HK. Tougher crowd over there.

Just my stupid opinion.

Few other names that came to mind when thinking about horses that were able to win top class races on both surfaces are Blushing John, Hawkster, and Prized. Beating Sunday Silence on dirt and also winning the BC Turf is pretty damn impressive.
