![]() Yeah, go to the Bahama's for your honeymoon, then come back and visit either one of the tracks when racing is going on.

Seriously, those tracks are ghost towns without live racing. You will be very disappointed. |

![]() CD is kind of dumpy. Historic dumpy, but still dumpy--not honeymoon material. Go when there is some significant race there.
Keeneland is quite beautiful. While it would be nice to go there where there is racing, it is not required. Better still, if you can get into the some better farms around the area, that would make a nice trip--and don't forget the Kentucky Horse Park! Also, Lexington is a much better town than Louisville. IF your girl is big into horses (not necessarily horse racing), she could enjoy this. Of course if you are in Lexington, it is not a big deal to drive and extra hour and a half to just check out CD, purely for historic reasons. PS: To all you telling this guy to go to the Bahamas--he's a frigging HORSE PLAYER! He's probably 30 cents short of a quarter! Cut him some slack. |

![]() Lexington is a nice city. I would call a couple of the horse farms and make an appointment to visit. I have been to Claiborne and would do it again. The bloodhorse web site has a farm directory. Other posts here indicated that 3 chimneys and shadwell were good tours. The tour lasts about one hour. I would visit the Ky museum on CD property.

![]() We enjoyed going to Keeneland on a dark day, it was our first time there, you can walk wherever you want and take it all in. I wouldn't go back for that though, and it certainly wasn't our honeymoon.

![]() I'm lost on the going to Kentucky for one's honeymoon thing. What's the matter, Niagara Falls and Cedar Point were booked that day?

![]() Buy a lot of bourbon, you will be tired of your spouse 2 days into the honeymoon.

![]() Hey, I was in college and broke when I got married--we went to Ann Arbor for our honeymoon. It was fine.
