![]() FTS Ninja Warrior gonna be awfully tough in there, and may be a nice price too.

![]() Yeah. Tough to take a short price on any horse in that race.

![]() A few thoughts on the race.
Score One's dam was 6 for 14 on the turf including a listed stake at Tampa. Chief Redneck's dam was 5 for 23 on turf, and was in the money in 9 other turf starts, winning over 100k. Ninja Warrior, as Kev mentioned is bred very strongly for grass, being a full to War Monger, who was 4 for 13 on grass and won over 500k. He's also a half to Brickell who won over 300k on grass. Trainer has had success with Danny Coa riding. Ransom Canyon's dam was 7 for 15 on grass and she was also a half to 6 figure turf earners. Horvat Clan is the trip horse. Soul of the Moon's dam is half to Marcavelly who won a couple of grade 3's on the grass. Horvat Clan is the one to beat and if he repeats his last, he's going to win. I think the 2,3,4 and 5 are all interesting pedigree plays. I give the edge to Ninja Warrior, although maybe the board tells a better story. The real wild card to me is Score One. Sporadic works, but the kind of horse I've seen light up the toteboard. Very interesting race. |

![]() Just watched the replay - how in the hell Goncalves not only doesn't go ass over teakettle into the rail coming out of the chute, but manages a closing 4th is beyond any plausible explanation. Well bred firster mentioned by Hossy (Ransom Canyon) gets it done @ 8-1.

That said, I hope Ian Wilkes keeps NBA Money at the MSW level. He has the look of a longtime maiden, unless he gets some class relief soon. He is running just well enough to take money, which are the types I love to play against. |
