| I guess i am alone in thinking that the pacing was really slow. It was disappointing to me. |

| Seth (Equidaily) found a very cool media website, AV Club. Warm review and then a very funny, clubby sequence of comments: http://www.avclub.com/articles/pilot-again,68437/

| As 'Luck' Story Editor/Script Writer (and ATR progenitor) John Perrotta explained Friday on the show with me, Sunday viewers were basically watching hour one of a nine hour movie. As Scav noted earlier in the thread, watch next week and you'll see the pacing pick up.

| Apparently she has started method acting already, the problem is that she refuses to fly to California to film the show.

Rome was just good enough in a few parts in episode one to bring me back. I almost gave up on John Adams after one episode -- and quickly, either episode two or three was one of the best shows I've ever watched. |

| they were setting the story line / plot for the season. While I did enjoy the pilot episode, I bet the next episode better and faster paced.

| They need drama. Like a successful trainer receives sexual favors from women to use his ice machine/cobra venom. |

| the john adams' was great. i bought david mculloughs book to get all the details that had to be missed. i'd never known much about adams before then, and wasn't much of a fan. great watch/read. learned a lot, cast adams in a new light and gained a lot of understanding.

| Luck Even right-wing talk show host Michael Savage weighed in (negatively) on it last night. He complained that it was just another "Hollow-wood" creation of aging west coast morally bankrupt hippies, and featuring a couple of past their prime actors totally miscast. He did take a couple of calls from authentic-sounding race track guys from New York who tried to fill him in on what the game is all about. Ocala Mike |
