At least many UAW workers are skilled labor unlike toll collectors. We could teach monkeys to collect tolls. From the comments made by Alabama Stakes they may already have.

You calling my daddy a monkey!!....he was a toll collector...at the bridge in Ohio that led to Waterford Park....25c a pop....had to slip a few in his pocket to make ends meet....

I'm with bigrun on this. During the mid-70's, I worked in the Revenue Department of the Jones Beach State Parkway Authority on Long Island, and part of my job was to oversee the reconciliation of toll receipts turned in by each collector. Of course, it was a different time back then, but none of these guys were making big bucks, and there was lots of "pocket slippage" going on by them to make ends meet.

Used to be fun sifting through the "automatic" lanes receipts for slugs, foreign coins, and subway tokens. Remember going into the NYCTA in downtown Brooklyn every couple of months with a huge swag of tokens to turn into a check for the Authority.

Yeah Dell, you are on shaky ground there...monkeys, especially domesticated ones are rather well known for stealing!
