Give me a break! I've worked all my life with low income families and this hate-induced propaganda about expensive cars is a bunch of bull. Are there folks who cheat the system? Of course, on Wall Street as well as on welfare but that's just an excuse to put the blame on the poor. I also don't give a rat's behind regarding what color folks on welfare are...folks are folks! One of these days, people are gonna wake up and discover that societies don't crumble from the bottom, they decay starting at the top.

My statement regarding the Mercedes in the driveway was referring to idiots who took out a loan on their home to buy it and are now crying poor and wanting a hand out. Or execs at AIG and GM who were bailed out on the backs of the taxpayer.

Mercedes in the family portrait? Well yea that referred to no/low income folks you were talking about.

I'm all for people succeeding, on their own. It's what makes this country great. Our poor are rich compared to the rest of the world. I'm simply trying to stop the march towards socialism.

Saying "our" poor are rich compared to the rest of the world is meaningless to those who are poor. If you are elderly and have to decide whether to buy food or needed medicine, unemployed and unable to pay bills, living in the middle of the war zones which are our inner cities etc. it's small comfort to be told there are others worse off than you. Rather than worry about socialism, you might spend more time thinking about being led to the brink of our society's collapse by those who care only about greed. How much is enough?

What is important is that we keep them from being poor. We learned recently that poor people are the cause of rape and murder. Thanks Uncle Joe!

There is one group of people in this Country who have been living high on the hog off of taxpayer money, and are directly responsible for almost every mess affecting this Country, that should be drug tested now. Congress. And every member of every Federal Agency in the Executive Branch.
