Lighten up Francis, it was a joke. I knew he never paid much. That is all I was saying. Now that is getting caught in a tight spot. |

It's Tricky has been awful good to me this year.
I think she has a huge shot in the Distaff as well. I just wish I would have taken the 15:1 the Wynn was offering on her 2 weeks ago, when I was out there. The biggest long shot I have had a huge opinion on was last November, when I loved King Congie getting the turf @43:1 ![]() |

A claimer named Ghost Rider In Red at Presque Isle Downs is a favorite horse of my father.
I actually had the Casino host once tell me "I have to leave the room whenever that horse runs. I think your father would blow that horse" |

I suspected that I might get poked fun of by that Tight Spot bit anyways. As for the other tight spot I found myself in, it was pretty interesting finding myself homeless at 2 AM in a dead town hundreds of miles away from my home, with no car. I looked up my cousins later that morning, and dropped acid for the only time in my life. It ended up being a pretty cool weekend. |

My Top 5...
8/11/90: Michael Aro's Rockingham shipper Keynote Speaker (25-1; Chavez on) catches Tom Bush's Balinar (14-1; Mig on) at the wire in the 3rd race on Go for Wand's Alabama Day. $721 exacta with the board's two longest prices and my first IRS ticket. 5/6/95: DWL's #3 Derby horse Thunder Gulch with Gary Stevens scores for a $51 win tote that keys big exotics with McPeek's Tejano Run and Wayne's favored Timber Country. Still my largest single race take away, and it came at Hippodrome Bluebonnets in Montreal, so there was no tax witholding. 11/4/00: Best. Breeders' Cup Day. Ever. Too involved to specify, but biggest hit came thanks to Frankel's Honest Lady at 31-1 second behind Kona Gold and ahead of Bet On Sunshine. A bonanza. 1/28/06: Marty Wolfson's Miesque's Approval in the Sunshine Millions Turf not only wins at 48-1 with Eddie Castro, but spoils Jerry Bailey's last mount (Silver Tree) at the same time. 4/30/10: Eric Guillot and Mike Moreno's Champagne D'oro wires the Acorn at 39-1 under Martin Garcia with a large number of DTers and ATR listeners riding along happily.

A horse named Nolan in a jump race on Haskell Day 1988 or 89. Played him because he looked good on the track but also because I had a college roommate with that name. Was with a group I had just met that day who played along at around 25-1. Led to a long festive day and evening on the Jersey Shore.
