![]() savannah is beautiful..thankfully hardee ran from sherman rather than fight, and the city taken without a shot. all the homes, live oaks with spanish moss...
spent the day in the city..heading to fort jackson and then tybee island.

![]() stopped at fort jackson, and then fort pulaski. tbe latter fort was named for casimir pulaski, a polish count who fought against the brits in the american revolution. the first place lee was assigned after graduating from west point, he elected the site and designed the layout, drainage, etc. got some great
pics of the outer walls, some still have shells embedded from the union bombardment. the supposed impregnable fort was surrendered after thirty hours of shelling. rifled cannon proved the age of brick and mortar forts obsolete. although the fall of the fort didnt lead to the fall of savannah, it did blockade a southern port. on to tybee island.

![]() ..just back from driving miss debbie.....took her to check in at the asylum--they approved her for 2 more weeks..it's in willoughby,ohio ---the place where that twilight zone bus.exec. wound up ..you know, he went on that ghost train..anyhoo,stopped at the famous bob evans ranch so she could whizz...more later....

![]() ..oh, forgot to mention we made another stop at around the e. 131st and miles area.....american negros walk the grounds in a very large majority...now they're mostly fine americans, but some don't exactly worship the ground honkey mothah fucl<ahs walk upon----if ya know what ah mean......i just give them my..."well ya i'm a white mothah fucl<ah in yo 'hood.......so whaddaya gonna do about it.....punk??" look..

![]() got to charleston midday wednesday. finally got to see my youngest about seven when he finished school for the day.
wandered around old town today, oysters were much better in savannah! meeting eric for dinner. went to fort moultrie, very neat exhibit. knew the original fort was built during the revolution, but i wasnt expecting to see more modern weaponry from ww2.
