The "ring" stuff is nonsense in football.
I understand why they try and use it for the quarterback. The quarterback touches the ball every offensive snap - and has a chance to audible pre-snap based on defensive looks. the game is 40% offense, 40% defense, and 20% special teams...and with 11 friggen people on the field at all times. In basketball - you have the same five guys going both ways - it's the only team sport where "ring" means anything. In individual sports - championships are everything.

Before he ever took an NFL snap - Moss was a personal hero of mine.
His 4-TD 200+ yard performance in the 1-AA National Championship game as a Freshman was like the greatest thing I'd ever seen - I watched it on ESPN as a wanna-be high school reciever.
