Hence I said resurrected. And unless you're like 80 years old then your salad years were in the 60's, no? Well in the 60's the new age movement helped bring Wicca to the trendy hippies and non-conformists.

And we can argue all day over the difference between "getting better" and knowledge. To me they're two peas in a pod.

True to a degree but Wicca has experienced the most growth in the US in the last 20 years or so. I understand your view on "getting better" and knowledge but to me "getting better" implies that the soul is either good or evil, constructs which don't apply in my faith.

So what sect do you fall under? Do you believe in good and evil in any sense? And if so, how can there be good and evil when it doesn't involve the soul?

Is reincarnation just wordplay for improving in the art of magic?

I consider myself a traditional witch in the Celtic tradition, not impressed with a lot of the ceremony of modern Wiccan movements. Yes, there is good and evil and life's conflict involves the constant battle between the two. The soul, on the other hand is immortal...viewed as a piece of The One (God), good and evil are not constructs that apply to the soul, they are earthly constructs.

So you're a true believer. I can respect that. You're right about the rising popularity the past 20 years. I'm a little skeptical and believe it's mostly guys and their reason for becoming a witch is the small chance they can find a female Wiccan that looks like...

LOL! Actually the majority of Wiccans are female, many covens consist only of females. Historically, male witches were most often targeted by society but recently many females are attracted to Wicca due to the belief in an almighty being who is neither male or female and an over-emphasis (my belief) of the Goddess as opposed to equality between the God and Goddess (both being aspects of The One, not separate entities).

Holy Mother of God, Berkowitz. Did you come up with these ideas on your own or have you been listening to the neighbor's dog again?
