If the current owner/breeder still owns the very young mother of DoD (DoD was her first foal) - I'm sure they'd be over the moon to get 15K for 3rd, not lose any conditions, and get black type for the first foal of a young broodmare they own.

Gulfstream Park can dangle some races in the next condition book in front of reluctant trainers with 3yo slugs.

I've probably been the worlds biggest IC fan since the day he debuted and even I am conflicted on Uncle Mo because of all the hype and nonsense surrounding him.

Madman Diaries May Scratch From Timely Writer

Asked why he wouldn’t want to run Madman Diaries back in the Timely Writer, Ward said: “Because I don’t really want to run him if he can’t win.”

But then, why did he enter him?

“Well, if Uncle Mo gets sick or something and doesn’t go we’ll be 1-9, not him,” Ward said.

“I usually don’t like to scratch out of races, but I would make an exception against an undefeated Breeders’ Cup winner. But we’ll see. I’ll make a decision tomorrow morning. If the race is scratched down to only a few horses maybe we’ll take our chances and see what happens.”
