McLaughlin says there are no definitive plans for Darley Stable’s 3-year-old Crossbow, who was scratched after drawing the rail in the Hutcheson Stakes (gr. II), the race that preceded the Fountain of Youth.

“We were originally thinking of running him (March 5) in the Gotham (Ggr. III) at Aqueduct,” McLaughlin said. “But now it looks like we’ll look at all options.”

Considering how many thought McLaughlin was making the right decision by aiming the horse for the Gotham, I thought they might be interested that he has changed his mind. If you have a problem with that, too bad - put me on ignore.

People thought scratching out of the Hutcheson was the right move. He said he was pointing to the Gotham, so it was suggested that race was a better alternative, but it was scratching out of a race he had zero chance in that was applauded.

Considering you have a life sized mold of Bernardini's cock under your bed, I'll take it for what it is.

I think people were agreeing more with the plethora of reasons to scratch the horse rather than siding with the decision to send him definitively to the Gotham.
