Not really. He was decent enough. If you go to FP for 15k and come out with Bandini I think your thrilled. I know he was not 15k at that time, but thats not the point.

The price was hardily too high relative to the market. Fu Peg attracted a billion mares at huge fees, the point is he is a complete bust of a stallion on every level.
as Chuck says the stallion game is pot luck city as well. Malibu Moon has had an incredible raise to the very top of the market. Who would have ever considered a Md. based regional being able to command 800k for colts 7 years later. Not me. The point is that even if you know a ton about everything that is involved in breeding it is at best an educated crap shoot and most crap out. Fu Peg crapped out in a huge way |
