Principally Todd Pletcher, Dale Romans & Tony Dutrow. Plus some other old friends like Neil Drysdale and Bill Cesare.

One Derby winner in a row I guess with Super Saver. Think the last before that was FuPeg, though he might have done some work with Monarchos but I'm not positive.

I'd like to take him at 100-1 to not be in the race.

Even Howard doubts his distance ability and with that breeding, he will be a stretch to get 9 furlongs.

We've broached that topic, of which Thoro-Graph's Jerry Brown is a huge proponent, and I don't think Allday has any objection to it. But that concept is a quagmire in that there's generally more than one vet or equine service practitioner working on a given horse at any time.

Esp. at the lower levels.

Also, what do you do about the horses shipping in from off track? Honor system?

It would be a huge expense to police. The cheaters would just find a way around it. They could just use the listed vet for normal day to day activities and when they want to pop one, have Dr. Feelgood make a quick visit. If they're caught, they will have to give their horses to their assistants for 30 days.

I agree, but this issue is a horseplayer driven issue. The organizations, that could do anything about this specific issue, have no incentive to do anything about it.

What organization is going to step forward and invest the amount of money needed to kick the series of changes in gear? Would horseplayers step up to the plate and pay more for past performance information if the vets were listed, to help finance the needed effort? I doubt it.

The track that exhibits a "gamblers first" mentality will be a successful track. The incentive, by the way, is sustainability.
Again, I agree.

On this particular topic, the industry will need proof that their product (handle) is being hurt by cheating trainers or they will keep their collective heads in the sand and carry on status quo.

Pressure from the likes of Jerry Brown and message board nerds is not going to force them into acting. Prove to them that the cheating trainers are hurting their product and they will take note.
