It came in Cat Thief at 19-1, Budroyale at 26-1, Golden Missile at 75-1, and Chester House at 63-1. One super ticket paid $692,907 for $1.

Yep - talk about some sensational 3yo's.

All five of them would murder Lookin At Lucky.

Even though he had a poor trip when 6th in the BC Classic - it's not hard to figure out that 6/5 favorite Fu Peg - and his rumored $70 million sale price - was the overrated one of that stellar group.

It might be a Dick Mandella filly that was sired by Memo. He had a couple good Memos around that time.

La Femmine or something like that was either her name or that of her half-sibling.

Yep. It was La Femmin.

She came back for three pretty good races after the injury - she was 2nd by a length to Dream Supreme in the Humana Distaff at even money in her final start. I think it was a track record - the time for 7fs was 1:20 3/5.

What did I tell you man! The single weirdest and most puzzling move ever. Get Anderson and Hall so that you can cut Leinart.

That idiot coach is freaking gone soon enough.

As much as I liked this filly, if you'd have ever seen Melair run, you'd never make that comparison.

I'm sure Melair was a machine - but still, you don't see 21 and change first quarters in two-turn route races that often.

She beat some useful horses that day when she ran the 115 Beyer and got hurt.

The horse who was 2nd came back and had 5 wins and 4 seconds in her next 9 starts - including a Grade 2 win and a Grade 1 second.

The 3rd place finisher was beaten by 25 lengths - and she came back to win her next start by 7 lengths at 7/1 odds - followed by a 2nd by a nose in a small stake at 6/1.

The 4th place finisher was beaten 31 lengths and she's a solid 70's Beyer kind of horse ...

The 5th place finisher couldn't handle the hot pace and was eased - but came back to win a Graded Stake on the turf.

This La Feminn filly was on the verge of greatness before that injury. She had blinding speed and could carry it atleast a mile. Even her three comeback races the following year where all strong triple digit Beyer efforts. She ran a 105 Beyer in her turf debut before that fast 2nd to Dream Supreme in her final career start.

Hint: the two horses nearest the rail aren't Super Saver and Tiznow... but I can't even name them myself.
