Pricci is just a bitter, washed up turf writer. The true idiocy is in the reader comments. Those lunatics are some real geniuses!

It's sad and funny at the same time. Steve brings a daily stream of guest at the highest level in the game -day in and day out- for anyone who wants to listen. 3 hours of the sport of Kings. And John has the nerve to say Steve is self promoting. Promoting what?? Music on the introw? To bad

Thanks to everybody for the very kind and, in the DT spirit, humorous, support. I won't engage in it, but the predictable rogues gallery of Internet malcontents are apparently crawling out from under their respective rocks over there. As I wrote earlier, it's a bizarre sideshow.

I get needled here sometimes for being eternally optimistic about racing and painting rosy pictures about it. But whatever I've tried to do in capacities as a media member or slightly public individual around racing, has been done to encourage interested parties participation in and enjoyment of the sport. It's temporarily disheartening that some feel such an eager and voracious need to attack and belittle, but in any walk of life, that won't deter anyone who has real passion for what they're doing.

Anytime you can draw out Quiet Chris and Smooth Operator to take a shot at you, you can be rest assured you have done something right.

You know you are on the correct side in a debate when the other side keeps quoting thier "credentials" as they make remarks.

Don't forget about Stevie Belmont. If you engage him he might tell you that Smarty Jones was on his top 100 list the November prior to the Derby.

Finally I read a post or reply by the gracious host of this forum when I did not need to pull off the shelf Webster's Dictionary

Steve, you're a great champion for our sport, and we're lucky to have you.

Where does he get that we have to provide support or pay to post on here?

Is the TV program Pricci refers to hosted online somewhere? Would like to see what he's referring to.

On your side, Steve, as always.

He depends on the rumor mill for much of his grist.

Steve, where do I send the check?

Sadly I think that person is confusing Steve with the other guy in NY who built a forum after Thoroughbred Times Forum was pulled several years ago.

You get an A+ for dealing with the moronic questions of my exboyfriend at the Breeders' Cup party.
