I want that statement retracted before I go any further. Unless he/she can produce a quote of someone saying she's a terrible horse.

As a fan of horse racing I want her back if they will take some chances... **** even if its the Gold Cup and Pacific Classic at home for her. I dont want her back running the same 2 campaigns from 2009 and 2010.

There would be no point to that. It is also far from a HOY path, as they know now. If they don't have a potential HOY campaign, what is the point (unless they just want to cherrypick Dubai).

How much $ of the all time earnings record is she? Would Dubai make her close?

I think there is no way she comes back. But if she does, no way she goes to Dubai. It makes a lot of sense, but they were afraid of shipping across the rockies. She's not shipping to Dubai.

Without Dubai or a bona fide HOY campaign, just retire her.

And therein lies the problem. They'll never send her to Dubai and her connections and legion of fans think that Salted Margarita-Apple Blossom-Vanity-Hirsch-Lady's Secret-BCC is a HOY campaign, even if she loses the biggest one in that slate.

If after being on the internet following racing and reading comments you haven't come across people nocking Zenyatta as less than a Great horse - comparing her to lame horses like Peppers Pride - than you've got to be in an alternate universe. You want me to find quotes? Quotes that prove to you that people have nocked her as a terrible horse? People have and you know it. Come on.

Prove it. Show me one quote where someone said she was terrible. Comparisons to Peppers Pride were simply to make the point that being undefeated alone doesn't make you great. No one called her terrible, you made it up.

I see what you're saying. In my view, when people say things like Zenyatta was beating nothing, I take these comments to mean Zenyatta is a "terrible" horse.

But that's not what it means. It's not even close. She was beating extremely questionable competition all year. It's just a fact. This does not make her a terrible horse and not one person claimed that it did. So please don't say things like that.

At first I thought 'oh God help us if she comes back, my blood pressure can't take it.' If they were willing to do things like take her to Dubai, it would actually be kinda fun. Then we get the added bonus of her and Rachel Alexandra being up for the Hall of Fame in different years, removing that particular drama.

Now that she's got a loss on her record, maybe, just maybe, we'd get the campaign we'd dreamed about for this year. Otherwise Queen Z needs to go to the shed and start foaling little princes and princesses. I can go see her win the Vanity over and over on Youtube, and I don't mean by rewatching the same year's footage. Open company in California if you like, but for God's sake change it up.

I would like her to remain in training...because she will be the biggest underlay of all time in each start she makes. And at 7 years old, she has to slow down at some point. I would like more opportunities to play against Zenyatta.

She was beating nothing...you are totally delusional if you think that people imply that she's a "bad" horse. Big Brown beat less than nothing in his Triple Crown campaign, but no one called him a "terrible" horse for beating those tomato cans. People said he was a good horse, who was overhyped because he looked great beating nothing on the track. Everyone here who has been a detractor of Zenyatta has said that she's a neat horse and a very good horse. Just not the out of this world superstar that people made her out to be.
