![]() Oh give me a break. She's applauded plenty. Trying to talk some reason into people who want to make her more than she is isn't the same as ignoring her achievements.

![]() People here take it too far in both directions. I honestly don't read everything in the Paddock section, but have a ton of posters readily proclaimed her the greatest of all time ever??

![]() Vic called her the greatest female ever yesterday. Without hesitation. What do you think he would've called her if she won? The hyperbole has been nonstop all year.

![]() No one can know any of that. My best guess is you could certainly safely put her top 10 to 15 female without hesitation or is that getting too far out there?

![]() But that's not what he said, is it? Calling her top 10 or 15 is entirely different than calling her the best.

![]() I can think of one crop of three year old fillies that had about five or six that were better than Zenyatta.

Do you really believe that Zenyatta would have been competitive with Inside Information, Lakeway, Sardula, or even Heavenly Prize? |

She ran a great race Saturday.. I gained more respect for that race than 18 of her 19 previous.

![]() I don't think it's a "slam-dunk" that she will be retired. Once they have more time to think about it, I think there is a decent chance that they will change their minds. If I had to make a line on it, I'd say there is a 30% chance they change their minds and decide to run her next year.
By the way, she's not going to a farm in Kentucky right now. She's heading back to California to Hollywood Park. That will make it even easier for them to change their minds. If Zenyatta would have won the Classic, I don't think there is any chance that they would have run her again. But since she lost (and the connections feel she was best and should have won), they may want to give it another try next year. Last edited by Rupert Pupkin : 11-09-2010 at 04:16 PM. |
