![]() You cant compare those races, but you can compare greatness. I think LITF was great, but he never got to show it. Im sure his career tailing off had to do with his illness. Had he not been strickened with a horrible disease that horse could have been any kind. Just as Bernardini could be any kind, unfortunately we wont get to see that either, as hes being retired. Its a hard pill to swallow to see Bernardini retired in the wake of all that has happened. You know Harry Aelo would have raced Bernardini and shared it with the world. I wish he would have had the chance to share LITF greatness with us all as well.

![]() The idea is not to determine which was the best horse between the two. I feel sure the 3yo Fog would smoke the 3yo Bern at 6fl, and Bern would smoke Fog going two turns. The point I was trying to make is that Fog was severely criticised by many on several forums for "beating nothing". Why aren't those same folks saying the same about Bernardini? In fact, many of Fog's critics are hailing Barnardini as the next coming. From a purely objective point of view (Fog as a sprinter and Bernardini as a router), I see little difference between the success of their respective 3yo careers going into the BC races.
