Yeah, it was nice, but I can't see it being ranked that high.

oak hill was a roller costar for curtis strange

he became the 1st player to win back to back opens since ben hogan there in 1989

then in 1995 he was a pick of lanny wadkins and he just flat out stunk it up
he singles match against faldo was the turning point for the Euros on sunday

Nick finished 4-4-4 and Curtis finsished 5-5-5 to lose 1 down , Faldo hit a career wedge shot on 18 to close to a gimmie after driving it wa left and not being able to go for the green , curtis made bogey from the middle of the fariway , has to be one of his toughest losses ever , usa lost by 1 pt

as for Winged Foot East Kev in my opinion it is a better course than the West course . the east course lets the average player use every club in the bag. the west course is just driver , 3W on every hole for the avg member it too much

Edit: I see you changed the date
yup

faldo got his revenge at oak hills i guess one could say

strange had him all day but couldn't finish him off , that wedge shot on 18 by faldo has to be one of the best of all time in that even

I know this may sound crazy, but I think a lot of people forget how great of a player Faldo was.

i would say he was the best player in the world from '87- till tiger

i know greg norman was the #1 player for a lot of those years but faldo clearly knew who to close in majors better than the shark

we never got to really see faldo and seve go head to head , when faldo got real good seve's back was shot , i don't know who would have won that matchup

but i don't think seve would have folded like a chair against nick the way the shark did in the '90 open and then later at the '96 masters , but, we will never know

Fourball pairings Friday:
Mickelson/D. Johnson v. Westwood/Kaymer
Cink/Kuchar v. McIlroy/McDowell
Woods/Stricker v. Poulter/Fisher
Watson/Overton v. Donald/Harrington

So he sits Furyk in the first matches? Why? The probable Player of the Year coming off the shot of his life?

Love the pairings, but I think the Euros will be up 2.5-1.5 after the morning.
