I agree, but more importantly it is a ponzi scheme, mathematically impossible to sustain, and should be eliminated on that basis alone. The political decision by FDR is not so sacrosanct that we must continue this madness forever. It doesn't wash.

The solution is the ending of social security. The perfect solution would be that this horrible program was never enacted in the first place, but unless you guys have a time machine, that's not going to work.

It is stupid and silly to keep tweaking a program that is doomed to fail and was so from the beginning. Roosevelt was either as dumb as a stump or extremely cunning in trying to secure Democrat votes ad infinitum. I vote for the latter case.
