Maybe they are good betting races, but the quality is not there... IMO.

The Sword Dancer cast would be destroyed by a third string Euro. Can you argue that? When is the last time Telling won? I bet Al Khali, what does he do everytime he steps up? Sure he can win an allowance race....

The Sword Dancer and the Million have been splitting up the older male turf division for years. Given the usual lack of depth in that division, I honestly don't know that it is reasonable to expect much more. When you have two big G1 races in the same division one week apart, you simply aren't going to get two full fields of outstanding horses. I thought the Sword Dancer field was fine given that fact, as I explained to you on that thread.

Plus the Hall of Fame Stakes is taking horses from the Secretariat and the Beverly is competing for horses with the Diana.
