Mayo and Marryweather are quality starters coming into what should be the prime of their career. The rookie CB they took in the first round looked good starting yesterday.

The offense is basically the same group that set the NFL record for points scored in 2007. It's the same offense that went 11-5 under Matt Cassell in 2008.

The offense finished 6th in the NFL in total points scored last year .. despite the "excuses" of injuries to your best players.
Yes, because Indianapolis and New Orleans are known for their defenses. Don't argue with the stats, ROI boy. The Pats' defense hasn't been good in several years and it's the same offense, except three years older and with a crappier offensive line and an even crappier running game. A true contender doesn't get embarrassed at home in the playoffs like that, I don't care what your excuses are. They've done enough.

I hear ya, health is overrated.

Draft Moss in your fantasy league. 3Kings did in the DT Fantasy League last year - and he won the league.

Boo effing hoo. They were healthy enough to win the division, then they took it in the ass at home to the 6-seed. You're lying to yourself if you think the days of their dominance haven't passed.

Even if I was - what the hell do I know? I thought the days of the Colts dominance passed a year and a half ago - and they were big Super Bowl favorites last year even without Bob Sanders.

The days of Moss's dominance obviously haven't passed if you read the reports coming out of the Pats training camp by everyone covering them.

Do you really think Brady is toast at this young of an age? I've seen guys like Rich Gannon and Brett Favre play otherworldly at qb while older than dirt.

The running game will be there at will if Moss is there with the deep ball. That's how offenses end up unstoppable when he gets going.

Torry Holt is a future hall of fame receiver that's younger than Moss - that rookie tight end out of Arizona can block like a mofo - Welker and Edellman are good system guys in the slot.

The only thing I don't feel good about is the offensive line and the defense - but I think there's a good chance both will be competent.

Stick with that thought. When you start bragging about Torry Holt and a blocking TE, it's time to hang it up for the thread.

Torry Holt is going to get cut.

If that happens - I guess his days of dominance have passed in a hurry.

that rookie TE from AZ is going to be a major force. maybe not his rookie year, but he will be a great TE in the league.

That guy is unreal.

He looks like strictly a blocking tight end the best I could tell from yesteday - but he blocks well from the looks of it.

The other TE that was a high draft pick - the one from Florida - he wasn't impressive.
