Agreed, and I'm glad you brought him up.

Still is, standing stud in Aomori, Japan.

ESPN is supposed to feature Charismatic, and by extension I'm sure -- Chris Antley -- on one of their "30 for 30" shows this year, but they haven't yet set a date for it.

i disagree, his win in the preakness was remarkable. his belmont was a jog and the hopeful was one of the best 2 year old races you will ever see. he was tons better than that years crop.

Nope.
Who is "The Bid?" and what is a "furlong"?

Afleet Alex was the Big Brown of his crop.

Really good horse with a truly awful supporting cast.

But if you disagree with this than which horse in your estimate deserved to win the triple crown that did not?
I know it isn't a him, but OBVIOUSLY Zenyatta would have won the Triple Crown had it been a goal. She also would have taken the All American Futurity at 2 and the Hambo after the Belmont.

Don't be a tard.

Everyone knows that Zenyatta only races at THE classic distance of a mile and a quarter.

Those other classics would be way beneath her.

I have heard it argued that Little Current could have won the Triple Crown. Little Current had the misfortune of running in the 100th Kentucky Derby - a year when 23 horses ran in the classic. The Biggest Kentucky Derby field ever. He ran into traffic and was unable to use his powerful closing kick... I'm not going to say that Little Current deserved to win the crown but people (Jon White of HRTV included) think that Little Current could have won... Not should have but could have... Any thoughts? I know very little about little Current...

Swaps or Nassua perhaps deserved to win the triple crown. Swaps didn't run in all 3 races and Nassua would have won the triple crown if not for Swaps win in the Derby.

Agreed. Don't forget that Rose probably cost him the BC Juvenile as well.
