Okay Mr. Antitrust, I was wrong Summer Bird was life and death to beat Quality Road in the Travers and Jockey Gold Cup last year, he is a monster at 1 1/4. Does this make me less trash in your eyes right now?

Dude Summer Bird was THRIVING AT THE TIME....Career top form, no injurys and loving the distance and SLOP.... I wanted Summer Bird to be healthy so bad this year, I actually prayed for it, because I am so sure QR is tons better then him and will now never get the chance to prove it.

Supposing both horses came back this year, I think Summer Bird would have done well as an older horse. I'm not sure if you are saying he just peaked for those 3 N.Y races are not, but it is in my strong opinion it was not a fluke, he would have been even better this year. Quality Road did run a good race in the JCGC, but he was up on a slow pace and really had no excuse in my opinion, if he was good enough he would have won. You stated earlier can he get 1 1/4, yes he can depending on the competition, but really is it his most ideal distance? I think we would both agree it isn't. What I think is the more prudent point of the discussion. Maybe you are right, maybe I missed it, but from what I have seen of him, 1 1/4 is stretching it for him. But it all depends on the competition, if and when he faces true classic distance runners.

Because the Z Nation has deemed 10fs the ultimate test and the BC Classic the greatest race evar. That allows them to propagate the notion that she's the greatest horse to look through a bridle. There's no limit, even Goldikova's greatness was questioned because she didn't run in the BCC!

I am still laughing that two dopes are bashing a horse and his schedule when they fly the flag of a horse whose connections are passing on a 750k race being run a 1/4 mile from her stall at her favorite distance where the favorite is a one-time Grade I winner. They should also be applauded for keeping a perfectly healthy horse in her stall for seven weeks.

I have strong opinions on some things, I know this. But atleast they are honest as I see fit. I don't understand the love QR gets sometimes and maybe I try to balance things out by perhaps going abit overboard at times. Thanks for the reply Miss. Antitrust.

People love Rachel, Zenyatta, and Quality Road because they are all brilliant horses in a time period where we are used to crap.

Please not you... Who has Z faced that is even in the same world as QR? That has the same speed, class, and power? The way he rates is just so beautiful... What makes you think he comes back to her late? Why is Big Z not coming for the Whitney? Everyone else seems to be coming, I dont see anyone else ducking QR.

Fair enough, no one is 100% right and this is horseracing so opinions are going to vary. Still I don't know why even giving 2 examples, granted they are from 09 that my opinion is trash. This reminds me of Dollar Bill in a way, despite the evidence people would still go to bat for him as a gr.1 animal. I guess we will see BC day who is right.

I love Z, I think she is a lot better then Rachel this year and would have won every single race Rachel won last year, but I think QR is a different breed, a different type of monster.

On his best day he can be, he seems to have his favorite spots to race, I'm not sure if CD will be one of them.

He runs big at Gulfstram and Belmont especially, and I am pretty sure the Kings Bishop was run over a very fast track that day, but I think you knew that.
