No actually he probably wont. I believe that he has gotten worse. He wasn't bad as a rookie but the last three years have been kinda ugly. Now I'd trade places with him in a second as my fastball maxes out around 60 but he simply doesnt have enough stuff to last too long past the period where he doesn't make much money. I don't wish any bad on him but when you give up too many hits, don't strike out anyone and turn the avg NL hitter who bats left handed into an all star on a regular basis...

I'll give him this. He's nice and unassuming which many pro athletes can't say. If baseball doesn't work out, I'm sure he'll land on his feet.

Thats cool. He can probably hang around as a situational arm as long as he is willing to play reasonably cheap (by baseball standards)

Doesn't hurt when a WS share a few years back was 350k. Whoa

he's been very effective in about 70% of his starts this year. I've been plenty happy with him filling in for Happ and Blanton while they have been hurt. He'll be effective in long relief also, when Happ gets back (if he ever does). He's no Halladay of course.. tho he tries to be by basically following Halladay's foot steps day in and day out (ever since Halladay signed). It cant hurt being Halladay's shadow and pick up some of his knowledge, even if Kendrick will never have nearly as good of command.

Ah actually he hasn't. He has pitched sort of effectively in 5 of 12 games. That would be 42%. He will be fine in long relief because if your pitcher gets pulled early you are probably losing anyway. kendrick just doesn't have major league starters stuff and is abysmal against lefties. They are hitting .316/.385/.526 against him. Chase Utley is hitting .286/.380/.520 for his career. So basically every left handed hitter is turned into a more productive hitter than CHASE UTLEY when facing Kendrick!!!

That is not good...

effective, IMO, for his position as a fill in for an injured starter, or 6th man, is around a 4.5 ERA. He's done fine as a fill in guy.. give or take a couple starts when he had a 17 + ERA

Like I said he was effective in 5 of 12 starts. Pitching 6 innings and allowing 4 or 5 runs isnt effective. He would love to have a 4.50 era.

game 1 - 4 IP - 5 runs
game 2 - 1.2IP - 6 runs
game 3 - 8 IP - 0 runs
game 4 - 5 IP - 5 runs
game 5 - 5 IP - 4 runs
game 6 - 7 IP - 0 runs
game 7 - 6 IP - 4 runs
game 8 - 8 IP - 2 runs
game 9 - 4 IP - 5 runs
game 10 -6 IP - 2 runs
game 11 -7 IP - 1 run
game 12 - 5 IP - 5 runs

he was effective in games 3,6,8,10 and 11.
More often than not you have to get 4 IP out of your bullpen and have to score 6+ runs to win a game that he starts.

That isn't good.
