If the Pac 10 takes in Texas/Texas A&M/Texas Tech/Oklahoma/Oklahoma State/Colorado it immediately becomes the toughest football conference, surpassing the SEC. It also dooms AZ to football mediocrity forever if they have to wade through those 6 schools plus ASU and Oregon/Cal/USC/UCLA on odd years.
And the conference becomes the "16 reasons why going to class was just a rumor".....
