The "New" Pac-10?

If the Pac 10 takes in Texas/Texas A&M/Texas Tech/Oklahoma/Oklahoma State/Colorado it immediately becomes the toughest football conference, surpassing the SEC. It also dooms AZ to football mediocrity forever if they have to wade through those 6 schools plus ASU and Oregon/Cal/USC/UCLA on odd years.

Well, it certainly won't be a cost-cutting decision. Some things you just shouldn't mess with!

And the conference becomes the "16 reasons why going to class was just a rumor".....

I can't see those teams being taken in by the SEC. They are redundant as the markets that they are in are already SEC markets, FL will object to sharing money with the other two FL schools, GA will object to making GT a SEC school, SC wont want to share with Clemson. They already have an enormous long term contract and would simply wind up dividing the same amount of money up with each school getting a smaller cut. I dont see that happening.

Texas won't go Pac-10. They'll go SEC.

It doesn't matter either way. Saban stays at Bama and all of you are f.ucked.

Why do you say that? The vaunted SEC basketball programs will scare him?

Football is a different issue entirely but I'm pretty sure the Big 12 is better than the SEC in basketball.
