I got skunked out of the system today. They close the entries far too early, considering scratches weren't up until 12:00! What would be the problem with having it open until 15 MTP before the 1st contest race?

first contest race today and my horse #3 Cosmic Dance, stumbles out of the gate. He's wondeirng what happend but I know wat happened.
the sooner I am out of this thing the better

I'm wondering the same thing. . . I have a decent rank right now because I've only been using prices. Not sure if I should keep up w/ that strategy or just start trying to survive.

If I recall correctly, last year there were over 100 entries still alive by the end so it comes down to bankroll. Of course it was probably alot easier to stay alive last year as there were typically at least one 6 horse or smaller field in the selections most if not all days.
