I can't believe NBC couldn't show the Dixie. Absolutely disgraceful. Horrible coverage. Same old overdone dramatic music, focusing on one or two individuals for 2 hours. Total garbage.

As long as they don't do "Top Chef: Preakness" or the Top Five Horse Moments from the Newly Cancelled Law & Order, it'll still beat the Derby and Oaks coverage.

Love the TAP/Battaglia interview. "Think he has a chance to win the triple crown?" Battaglia

Pletcher, "Well I know he is the only one with a chance."

Great stuff.

Time for O Christmas Tree, I mean Maryland, My Maryland. Sorry, I can't help but think of the other song. Just never gonna be able to avoid it. Great state song though. Beautiful melody.

ETA: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maryland,_My_Maryland Interesting background, hmm.

I can't help it, but, "Remember Howard's warlike thrust" just sounds dirty.
