They changed the configuration of the urinals in 2008 to avoid the videos that were posted on youtube in previous years. One can attempt to run the urinals, but the urinals are now set up in fours or sixes and stationed like ten feet apart - this made for a couple fun scenes where from the grandstand one could see several someones unsuccessfully attempt to the bridge the divide betwixt urinal blocks.

Check youtube - people definitely ran the urinals at the Derby in around 2008. They so wanted to get their Preak on.

My first racetrack experiences as an adult was in the Preakness infield 1984-89. It helped fuel my interest in the game. I'm sure I'm the ONLY person that ever got interested in the sport that way though.
Did you "run the urinals"?

Mr. B has spoken from high on his throne as a true representative of the sport of kings. Let the game stay with the dying hardcore racing fans and to hell with anything outside of a pure racing experience to expand the audience. Sorry that my 20 years as a peasant in the Derby infield doesn't make me a fan of the game.

If the promotion draws Art Mann Presents, it is ok with me.

Next year they need to go after the "afro-americans"

PREAKNIK

Or put lights up and run it on Friday.

Preaky Friday

Or they could just go f.uck themselves, the unimaginative preaks.

Truth in advertising

Quote:
"Seriously, the whole 'Get Your Preak On' campaign has to be one of the most pathetic marketing ploys ever devised," harrumphed Baltimore Sun metro columnist Kevin Cowherd.

Which I find absolutely hilarious.

A semi-raunchy ad campaign is beneath the dignity of the Preakness? For real?

It is, in fact, that rarest of all marketing strategies: truth in advertising. Far from pathetic, it's perfect. The Preakness and its host track, Pimlico Race Course, are about as classy as a neck tattoo. Don't get me wrong -- it can be a fun event, and a lot of the employees work very hard, and they generally stage a great race. But if you believe the Preakness is a highbrow endeavor, you also believe "Jersey Shore" is on par with the great PBS documentaries.
