It's certainly a lot easier for Asian and Australian horses to come to Dubai than America and that speaks to the reason why the BC is misguided in that approach. Hell, they're concerned about getting horses from all over the globe and they didn't even have one of the two best horses in training in this country last year! NT |

As for not getting the best horses. Dirt horses race on dirt, Rubber on Rubber, Turf on Turf, if dirt isnt available were should Rachel have raced? Jockey Gold Cup? |

![]() perhaps the bc should get over their whole 'world championship' bs. it's not the world championships. it's supposed to be a day to showcase the nations breeders by exhibiting their best. if they offer enough money, others will send their best-just like they have in the past.
as for santa anita saying more came then they would have otherwise, that's incorrect. i remember reading comments from overseas connections saying they don't want to come to cali because it's too warm, and their horses are already getting into their winter mode. the bc should pare down their race card, and put the extra purses into the remaining races. that's the draw. not the surface, the location, it's the money!
