In a turn of events stunning and angering to those that decried prosecution in federal court (won't work, will endanger NY citizens, too expensive, will take forever, will allow him to lawyer up and get off scott free, Obama is ruining this country, etc):

I don't think there was a huge outcry against prosecuting this guy in federal court. The huge outcry was about prosecuting Khalid Sheikh Mohammad (the 9/11 mastermind) in New York.

Yup - KSM was the biggest outcry. But every other terrorist invoked it, too.

The world according to Riot! Where she is the ultimate authority despite all evidence to the contrary.
Your selective memory in this case is laughable. KSM was the cause of the outrage, not clowns like this guy. Your insistence that he wasnt the reason for the outrage flys in the face of pretty much everything reported. As usual |

As I have already said, yes, KSM was the largest inducer of these feelings. Many came out vocally, publically and specifically against THIS terrorist being tried in federal court early in this year: both Dick and Liz Cheney, Tom Ridge, John Boehner, etc - mostly on the far right, obviously. Plenty of discussion about how wrong Holder (and Obama) was wrong to try THIS terrorist in NY fed court in the larger news orgs, the Sunday morning talk shows, etc. Yes, even Faux News. Plenty are against "any" terrorist being treated as anything other than a war criminal. Ewen people on this discussion board. Your and Cannon's obvious ignorance of this doesn't make it non-existent. It just exposes your comments as the ad hominem BS they are.

i think there is a huge difference between enemy combatants and this guy. can you charge one of your own citizens as an enemy combatant? i don't know, but i doubt it. if he were a soldier who 'turned' to the other side, he'd be charged with treason i'd imagine....at any rate, simply a different type case than most terrorist cases, since he's a citizen.
