I wasn't saying shitty, but I think you would agree that his horses do not seem as fresh and strong as years past at Gulfstream. It seems that most of his claimers are at Turfway. Just an obversation.

Ken Ramsey is putting all his eggs (or most of them) in the Kitten's Joy basket.
Which means he is claiming a lot less....which was where a lot of Maker's wins have came from the last 2-3 years...I mean they claimed Furthest Land for 35k and, he blossomed when given the oppurtunity to run long.

Wow!

Who sold him on that brilliant idea? KJ has been a great turf sire, but one has to see that alot of ones that were winning early were winning with great out of the box trainers.

Should be really interesting how it will shake out.

Ok, should have used good, was just typing.

I'd like to see the breakdown of 2 year old wins by trainer for KJ's. Probably an impossible stat to find but who knows with the people around here and their skills.

They were not winning very early for Maker.
He sprinted a lot of them on the dirt, just to get a race into them.
then sprinted a lot of them on the turf, all the while knowing they wanted to go long.
I think KJ is gonna be a useful sire.....but him standing for 40k this year in this horse economy is laughable.
