Good observations about the potential hazards of an inside post , especially for a young speedster if the start is blown. NYRA said Chavez agent said the bit broke before the bolt.

As an aside, I am enjoying the rather detailed footnotes to the Aqueduct inner charts. Who writes the footnotes ?

Riding a fast horse with a broken bit is like driving a semi truck with no steering wheel.
I guess he ended up jumping a fence or two after leaving Chop Chop in a heap on the turn. he ran back to the barn. Between Cohen and this colt, Contesssa's blood pressure muct be through tthe roof.

Peppi Knows hardly made Buddy's Saint look like a Derby colt today.
