I'm actually ok with this. If they had somehow got Cowher it would be Gailey running the offense anyways. Unlike Cowher they will not need to cater to every one of Gailey's whims and can let their personnel guys have some say in personnel decisions instead of it being whatever Cowher wants, Cowher gets. No one has a deeper defensive backfield than the Bills do right now so hopefully their defensive coordinator can find a way to take advantage of that. If that can be coupled with Gailey playing to his strength, namely winning with mediocre QBs, then the Bills returning 22 players from injured reserve could be a surprise team next year. Gailey did make the playoffs both of his years in Dallas and those two years were sandwiched between 5-11 and 6-10 seasons. Even Jerry Jones says he made a huge mistake in firing Gailey. Not the sexy pick that Bills fans were looking for after talks of Shanahan and Cowher but sometimes having a coach that just coaches instead of a coach that wants to play GM as well can work out better. Frazier would have been great if the Bills didn't need an offensive guy so badly.

My dream scenario would have the Bills trading for McNabb and then drafting a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round to groom under him. That would be after getting a Left Tackle or Dez Bryant at the number 9 pick.

I'll trade you McNabb for the #9 pick in the draft. I'll even throw in the Andrews Sisters (Shawn and Stacy) for free.

I don't think McNabb is worth the #9 pick at this point. They'd probably give him up for a 2nd or 3rd rounder if they decide to deal him.

i don't either. past his prime at this point. he has his moments, but not first round worthy.
