I'm wondering if the Euros will make any impact in the Cup in the Classic.
They don't run very often, most of the time running the big guns in the Turf.
But they have been represented quite well with some longshots who hit the board and even won one with Arcangues.
I remember Ibn Bey running 2nd to Unbridled at about 60-1. Arcangues winning at 99-1. Also remember Jolypha(a filly) running 3rd to Ap Indy.
Sakhee got beat a nose to Tiznow. Of course there is always the famous Swain debacle where he was the best in the race and Dettori kept windmill whipping until he was on the outer fence. They have been represented quite well and usually with their 2nd tier horses.
I think more of them would have been factors had they tried the Classic.
The extra week later that its being run this year should help them, as well as a climate that will be very close to what they are leaving from at home.
With the older division falling apart and not many bonafide contenders, it wouldn't shock me if Euros had an impact in the Classic this year.

David Junior has the pedigree and the talent for the race, but due to the way he is being campaigned I hope he runs last. Terrible message it would send to others who want to run in the race in the future and I'm glad the connections of Dylan Thomas are prepping him on dirt beforehand.

why does he necessarily need a dirt prep? Giants causeway did just fine without one.

OK, maybe not a dirt prep, but at least a race beforehand. When was his last start, when he beat Ouiji Board early summer? And sorry, but Giant's Causeway and David Junior are not in the same league.
