At least they won't have to worry about him moving too soon.

And, ladies, forget about Julien...he's got a VERY pretty girlfriend and from what I've seen she's not letting him go.

Nah, I have a finace who I love very much and am very dedicated to (he is good with the horses)...but, it's still okay to look and joke around about it...LOL...

He is an EXTREMELY talented rider. I think the switch will benefit PD, but it won't be enough for the BCC. However, it could move PD up in some of the other races. I agree with Joel on this one. Not to knock PD though. Tough old campaigner who usually is a lock for the exotic bets, but you already knew all of this...

Perfect Drift has had a fine career and he's an admirable horse. However, he's past his prime and simply doesn't belong in a race like the BC Classic.

Leparoux is an outstanding young rider who hopefully learned some valuable lessons at Saratoga. His laissez-faire style got him in more than his share of jackpots as the meet progressed and the big boys were not inclined to make his life easy. He's certainly the best apprentice I have seen in some time and will be very surprised if in time he isn't truly on of the top riders in the country. He, however, needs to learn to be more aggressive and fight for what is rightfully his. He most likely will.

I personally think julien is a good jock and better than the average apprentice, but he is being compaired to the greats and those guys were really just kids 16 not 23 he has 7 more years of experiance being around horses and patience has alot to due with how young riders due. I would take McCarron, Desormeax, Cauthen any of those guys when they were 23 over JULIEN anyday.

Anyone know the oldest jock to win the eclipse award? Just curious

he ran 4rth 2yrs ago 3rd 1 year ago in the bcc beating 2/3 of the field both times. loses a grade 1 by not even a nose in the foster and ran and great race in the wph to run into suave who ran a freakish race that day for 2nd. given the pc was puzzling. BUT MUCH deserving to be in the bcc!!!!!!!!

Look, if I owned him I would probably take a shot at getting any piece of the four million dollar purse as well, but I don't think he has much of a shot at anything better than a suck up third or fourth.

Please don't claim his second to Seek Gold was a good effort. That same effort will get him eighth in this year's BC Classic.

The thing about last year's BCC-
Well... I go both ways on how much of an excuse he had last year, because this horse does hang, and he seems to have the eternal case of 2nd-itis. But with that being said, HE WAS BLOCKED FOR LITERALLY HALF OF THE STRETCH LAST YEAR IN THE BCC. Once he was finally able to uncork his run, he got up for 3rd. I'm not saying he beats 'Liam, but if he had a clean ride and the whole stretch to uncork it, the race woulda been a lot closer.

But there's always something with him that makes him fall short. He is a classic hanger. But if he really comes with a run, he's gonna give Invasor, Bernardini, Lava Man, whoever all they can handle... and with that being said- put a show bet on him in the BCC lol.

Beyond my betting interests, I'm rooting for him all the way to win the BCC. He's such a gamer. That, and I'm not ready to say he's "over the hill", like Funny Cide is. If he gets his ass whooped in the 'Classic, then I'll concede. But until then, I'm keepin the faith he's got some good racing left in him.

He needs someone that could get him motivated in the stretch - Leparoux? Hmm! Let's just watch. Orlando Mojica could do it..... LOL!

Default Leparoux.......

Julian Leparoux is no question one of the best young jockeys in the sport, is will no doubt give Perfect Drift a smart trip. This horse is all heart, always gives a fine effort, and will be a factor on BC day. BC day this year is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in history, each field should be stacked with competitive horses. Want to see how Lava Man looks in his prep, he's been one of the best stories of the year, and lookin forward to seeing him run on BC day among others LOL!
