Well I would give it to Gio Ponti, Bullsbay, Einstein, and even Well Armed before Macho Again... Even though on paper Macho Again did more and defeated Bullsbay and Einstein head to head... DAM HES GOING TO WIN THIS.

Maybe Commentator? He did go 1/3 with a 95 Beyer in a NY Bred Stakes Races.

I was disappointed with his flat effort... he's better than what we saw this weekend and certainly could have contended down the stretch on his best day.

If it had to be a dirt horse and Bribon wins the Cigar Mile, its him.

If it can go to a turf horse, Gio Ponti had a pretty salty campaign and many Grade One wins.

Don't even get me started. Jeter? Mauer? Really? You're telling me those two dummies aren't being rewarded for their offensive prowess? Jeter was sixht in the league in putouts, 7th in double plays, and 10th in range factor. The only thing he had going for him is fielding percentage, but hey, when your range is so weak you only get 4/5th of the chances of your closest competition, you're going to commit fewer errors. The worst part is that it was Jeter's fourth Gold Glove, and I would argue he didn't deserve even one of them.

Mauer threw out 19 runners this year while giving up 54 steals. Compare that with guys like Gerald Laird (42/59), and you're wondering what Mauer did to deserve the award. Granted, Laird is one of the worst hitting starting regulars in the league, but this isn't the Silver Slugger award.

Bullsbay faced Macho Again four times this year winning twice.
