Its more important how Burnett pitches, and for how long Burnett lasts. Good grief, your team is the one who lost game 1 and needs this game. Your bullpen sucks right now minus the Sandman. For the Yankees to win this game, they need to be focused on shutting down the 2 guys that killed you last night rather than worry about some guy named Pedro...For one moment, forget about his history and all his Cy Youngs. Hes just a pitcher trying to give his team a chance to win. You're looking way too far into this.

Really? I mean how long has it been since someone jogged when playing against these people? It has to be at least 3 weeks.

yeah, i mean he's only started in about 35,849 games against AL teams, and won 3 AL Cy Young awards, so he for sure wont know what he's up against!

Yeah, but how many of those games came with it south of 47 degrees on the thermometer?

also, honestly.. 50 degree's isnt that cold. 38 would be a different story. cold weather is tougher on hitters than pitchers... try catching one at the end of the bat.. your hands will be hurting for hours!

I dont have an answer to this but I have to imagine its more than you might think. It gets this cold in September in Boston and New York and hes also pitched in about 10 post season games (guess), that I have to imagine half of them were around this cold.

He may well get pounded on tonight but I doubt its the cold that beats him. Its really not even that cold out.

Well, L.A. wasn't a true test. That's true. They have very little plate discipline. He looked like he was pitching well, but the Dodgers offense shouldn't be compared to the Yanks. L.A. is a good pitching team that(except for 1 starting performance) simply didn't pitch. You know, somehow, these Phillies. Well, you'll see. People struggle when they are forced to pitch well against them. If you don't pitch well, this team will simply eat you up. They don't just foul these mistakes off. They will hit them in places that will not please you. It forces someone to pitch like their best to just survive. Where is the break in their line-up? Feliz Navidad?
