altho arkansas votes mostly democrat, there are a lot of bible thumpers who write letters almost daily about the hell bound gays in our midst. so, altho it's an aberration with the reps, there are a lot of southern dems who are in lock step regarding gays, abortion rights (or lack thereof) and marriage rights. it was just a couple years ago that the dems here voted overwhelmingly to change the state constitution to specify marriage was for a man and a woman only.
