Obama has asked for tort reform provisions to be definitely included in the House bill. It was announced in the "Joe Wilson" speech.

That was weeks ago - you guys don't pay attention?

lol
asking and getting are waaaaaay different. you really think dems are going to bite that hand? lol ain't gonna happen. lawyers are some of the biggest contributors to the democratic party, and certainly would never want anything close to tort reform.

The GOP just has to write it up and get it in there. It will be weak and basically useless, as you say, to protect the insurance industry and lawyers. The Dems have already said no problem, and Obama will sign it.

If you knew how to read you would have read where they did some bullshit with the tort reform.. but its really weak. I dont want to argue with you though as you are clueless.

Default Name the Senator

Name the Senator:

Quote:
The Senator offered unusually blunt assessments of the fringe elements of the Republican party and conservative media on Thursday, calling the popular and bombastic Fox News host Glenn Beck a "cynic" whose show was antithetical to American values.

"Only in America can you make that much money crying," the Senator said of Beck. "Glenn Beck is not aligned with any party. He is aligned with cynicism and there has always been a market for cynics. But we became a great nation not because we are a nation of cynics. We became a great nation because we are a nation of believers."

Appearing before a crowd of Washington's elite power players and opinion-makers, the Senator spoke largely without filter, offering acidic takes on subject well beyond Beck. The Senator called the birther community that questions the president's U.S. citizenship "crazy" and implored them to "knock this crap off" so the country could get on to more important matters.

"I'm here to tell you that those who think the president was not born in Hawaii are crazy," said the Senator who went on to dispel another myth: that Obama is a closet Muslim.

Speaking before the conference, the Senator also ventured to call "crazy" a recent article on Newsmax, laying out how a military coup could overtake the Obama administration.

He said he was deeply worried about "the passions of cable TV" whipping up the emotions of the public. "If you get rewarded for being a jerk you are going to keep doing it," he said, before labeling "Talk radio, MoveOn.org, and the 24-hour news cycle" as the main culprits in polarizing the nation.

"Can you imagine doing D-Day with cable television?" he asked. "Can you imagine writing the Constitution -- you know, O'Reilly says Ben Franklin's giving in on something. Can you imagine having to do that in this environment?"

Maybe he's just getting in line for the Juan, Maria & all other illegals including Auntie Obama’s welcome to free health coverage (comparable to private health care) as we won't be carding according to the Dem proposal? Don't worry we'll tax those w/health coverage and fine & jail those who refuse.

graham is a huge disappointment. you do everything you can to hang electoral albatrosses like rush and beck around the neck of the republican party and a guy like him comes along talking sensibly.

it's good to know he'll remain under pressure from extremists. maybe you guys can run someone against him in the primaries? please?

btw dell: it takes more balls to stand up against a tsunami of stupid then it does to go with the flow like most other republicans.

but i expect him to fold like the rest of the wimps that have briefly tried to stand up on 2 feet. 3 days. early next week at the latest. you'll make sure he has to.

thanks for that.
