What do they have in the minors for potential help this year after the all star break. It is so weird not to hear about some Jabba clone who will be up with the big club by the fourth of July. George spent cash in the old days on the free agent types but their farm system seemed to be very solid in past years......are they holding their usual young and mighty at AA and AAA still?

Are you kidding me, they always boast about their farm system being good. But frankly it sucks! Cano is the only guy that I could really think of in the last few years that has come up to be a everyday starter. Since they sign every big time free agent, they usually end up trading whatever chips they have down in the minors. They had a bunch of homegrown core players when they went on the championship run in the late 90's, but since then, their system is an absolute joke.

Cano sucks. The best from their farm system is Hughes who has a sub 1.00 WHIP in the last month and has managed to strike out 31 in the last month despite being in the bullpen for Joba and Wang. I am salivating at the day the Yankees are dumb enough to trade Hughes.

I have to admit that I'm not 100% sold on the kid yet, but compared to some of the other names that they have had and brought up in the past years he's like Willie Mays.

I think it is one of those situations where he's been around for a while now so people forget that the kid is still only 22.

Gales, whats going on with your team?
Thats 2 series they are heavily favored to win, especially against the Nats.
They gave the Sox 2 games this week. What a gift.
All 4 games were close losses too, which has to be even more frustrating.

Yankees are 2-17 this year when they score 3 runs or less.
This is getting ugly!

well when the guy who is being paid $25mm is out partying like a rock star every night and the pitchers are living up to their $$$ either what do you expect

hopefully the red sox will be going on the road soon and maybe we won't keep losing ground , you do know they get an unfair advantage in fenway
