i thought calvin went a little early for the way his horse runs. meanwhile kent gave his horse the perfect inside out trip and his horse was full of run in the last eighth. i did not have summerbird but some of my friends hit it. one of them said something about an unpublished work where the horse freaked and looked like he did saturday. does anyone know about this?

They may be refering to his wild morning Wednesday where he was supposed to 2 minute lick and then blow out 3/8ths down the lane. All of that was fine, except that Summer Bird did not want to stop after the blow out past the wire and couldn't be pulled up for another 5/16th. He basically worked 6f and made a complete circuit around the full mile and a half in a published 3f effort. And Ice STILL had to gallop him Friday when he was planning to just jog up to the race because Summer Bird was so full of himself.

Ice had him incredibly tuned up. Everyone who saw him in the Paddock rushed to the windows. He was snorting and grunting with head bowed and neck arched. He looked ready to explode.

I did. Just a simple $6 across the board. After having Tim Ice on the show 3 times since the end of April, I would have been sick to not have had anything on him Saturday. I also found a $1 exacta with him and others over Mine That Bird and Dunkirk as I was going through the day's tickets. I had forgotten about it and came very close to throwing it away... I still lost $250 on the day.
