the three best horses in the crop weren't in the race. a lot of people had their capping fly out the window when IWR scratched. that race was wide open after the defections, and the piling on by other horses.
i doubt the horse is special. he'll turn out to be a go for gin, a gato del sol.
Maybe...but part of the game is getting to the dance and actually dancing.
